The 30 Day Rule applies to you if any of the following facts are present in your DUI arrest:
You refused to take the test;
You are accused of refusing to take the test;
You took the test and your result was 0.08 or higher;
You are under 21 and your test result is 0.02 or higher; or
You have a commercial driver’s license and your test result was 0.04 or higher.
If the 30 Day Rule applies to you, you may face an automatic suspension of your license for 1 or more years. You have 30 calendar days from the date of your arrest to make an important decision about whether to file an appeal to request a hearing about your license or to install an ignition interlock device for 12 months on your car.
